The African American Film Series is Back!

Enjoy an evening with Communities First, Inc. full of food, art, and great films! We’re excited to announce the 2021 African American Film Series in partnership with the Flint Institute of Arts. As always, the selections are designed to inspire, inform, empower, and entertain all who attend. Films will be shown every month from November 2021 to February 2022 in person at the Flint Institute of Arts, with insightful panel discussion hosted on Facebook Live the Saturday following each movie.

The schedule for upcoming films includes:

- November 11th, 2021 Summer of Soul
- December 2nd, 2021 A Most Beautiful Thing
- January 13th, 2022 Finding Fellowship
- February 10th, 2022 Black Art: In the Absence of Light

Doors open at 5:30 PM for dinner and the film begins at 6:45 PM. In the interest of our collective health and safety, we request that by attending you agree to wear a mask except when eating or drinking.
