A Taste of Culture is coming up and you don't want to miss it! This year's event will be held on April 23 at Greater Heights Academy (3196 W. Pasadena Ave. Flint, Michigan). Representatives from ten different countries will share their cultures through dance, music, food, native dress and more. This free, family friendly event will expose attendees to various cultures, languages and lifestyles from around the world. The event will begin at 10am, with activities and events until 2pm. There will be a cultural scavenger hunt, Zumba, Bollywood dance, art displays, food and giveaways for guests to enjoy.
Countries to be represented include: India, Nigeria, Brazil, China, Jamaica, Bahamas, United States, Poland, Ethiopia, Sudan. Food will be provided by area restaurants and everyone is encouraged to try at least one food they've never had before. A Taste of Culture is part of our Culture Shock program which seeks to expose people to arts and culture in exciting new ways. This event promises to be fun, educational and a definite Culture Shock!
