Movies Under the Stars 2017

The next movie in Communities First, Inc.’s exciting outdoor summer film series is A Bug’s Life, which was the community choice movie this year. On July 28, the movie will be shown on the back lawn of Flint City Hall (1101 S. Saginaw St., Flint).

A Bug’s Life is the third movie in the organization’s Movies Under the Stars program. Now in its fourth year, Movies Under the Stars draws thousands of families who enjoy snacks, games, dancing and movies in a family friendly environment. Each movie is preceded by a party at 7:30pm and the movies start at dusk. The pre-party for A Bug’s Life will feature lawn games, a community resource fair, a dance party and the Turtle Van from ForMar Nature Preserve! Movie snacks such as popcorn, candy and water will be provided. There will also be prize drawings for T-Shirts and gift cards.

The July 28 showing is a part of the Flint and Genesee Literacy Network’s Summer Learning Days! More information about other literacy activities taking place the week of July 25 can be found at http://flintliteracy.net/summer-learning/.
