Ground breaking ceremony

September 6th, 2013 marked the Ground Breaking Ceremony for Oak Street Senior Apartments! The event drew nearly 80 people from Federal, State and local agencies, the community and surrounding neighborhood. Former students of Oak School joined us to share their stories and fond memories from their childhoods. Representatives from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), City of Flint and the community were in attendance to show their support for the project. The ceremony was followed by lunch at First Presbyterian Church. Food was provided by White Horse Tavern.
