Coolidge Park Pop Up Market

Communities First Inc., whose mission is to build healthy, vibrant communities through economic development, affordable housing and innovative programming, is excited to announce the start of the Coolidge Park Pop Up Market! This brand-new pop-up vendor market will be located at 3701 Van Buren Avenue Flint, MI 48503 in the Glendale Hills neighborhood.

Beginning on September 15th and running through November 24th, the market will host small businesses from Flint, Genesee County, and around the region. From food trucks to produce sales, skin care to popcorn, the Pop-Up Market will have a diverse range of small businesses appealing to anyone in our community. Since economic development is one of the cornerstones of Communities First Inc., providing a space for new entrepreneurs to build and grow their businesses is a cornerstone of our work and is key to the recovery of small businesses in our community as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. Many small entrepreneurs will be able to sell their wares and gain experience as a small business owner with low costs and a safe, clean space at this pop-up market.

This market will occur from 12:00pm-6:30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Coolidge Park Apartments commercial spaces along Ballenger Highway. These brand-new commercial spaces will be activated for the fall while Communities First continues to seek permanent, long-term tenants who can bring vibrant and exciting small businesses to our community. The west side of Flint has lacked a shared market space for some time and the Coolidge Park Pop-Up Market will fill this gap for the fall. Providing the opportunity to burgeoning entrepreneurs to gain experience selling their products, this market will provide a convenient location for West Flint neighborhood residents, McLaren Flint employees, and customers from around the region to learn more about local small businesses and see all that our creative community has to offer.
